I had to read Hamlet, and this was the only thing on my mind: Why the @#^%&*#$ does Hamlet have so many lines?!?!?! Horatio was my favorite character, and whenever he and Hamlet had a scene, Hamlet spoke a paragraph and Hortaio spoke a sentence!
What I did for this piece: I browsed my Hamlet book for words and interesting phrases. I found this page, selected the words I wanted and blocked out the rest with masking tape. The tape was placed in weird positions for variation. I then went wild with pastels, sprayed with a fixative for holding power.
I originally had it mounted on colored paper, but I had to crop it out
I wanted to upload this earlier. It was a project for my art class, and I;m very proud of this one.
I wonder how it'll be recieved o.O
When you get to high school, you'll have to read some sort of Shakespeare. Last year it was Romeo and Juilet, and then it was Hamlet the next.
When/If you read it, Hamlet has 4 soliloquoys and too many dialogue sentences XD
I'm glad you thought it was funny ^_^

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
